Flareon · 34 cards · 1999–2025
How much is a Flareon card worth?
There are 34 English Flareon cards, spread over 25 sets between 1999 and 2025. The first was Flareon in Jungle, 16 June 1999, drawn by Kagemaru Himeno in the very first English sets. It has carried 7 of the game's card types over the years — V, VMAX, ex, Dark — and a collector will pay wildly different money for each.

What we pay is a different number. These are TCGplayer market prices, worked out from recent sales between collectors, read 2026-09-08. What a buyer pays is always less than what a collector pays, and it turns on the condition of the card in your hand — which is why you get our number on the phone, in one call, before anything is posted.
Spaced by ratio, not by dollars, so the cheap end stays readable. Tap a handle to jump to that card. 11 of the 34 have no market price on file.

What decides the number
Five things about your Flareon, in order of how much they matter.
- Which printing. Flareon spans 25 sets, from Jungle in 1999 to Prismatic Evolutions in 2025, and the set symbol beside the picture is what tells one from another before anything else about the card is worth discussing.
- First edition and shadowless. 3 of the 34 date from 1999–2000, and on a Flareon of that age the small “1 Edition” stamp left of the art, or a frame throwing no drop shadow down the right of the picture, is worth more than everything else on this list put together.
- Which card type. A Flareon V and a Flareon VMAX are different cards that happen to share a name — Flareon has been printed as 7 types in all, so the word beside Flareon at the top decides which of the 34 you own.
- Promo stamps. 6 of the 34 Flareon cards were promos rather than pack pulls, and a black star, a tournament stamp or a set-launch mark in the corner is what turns an otherwise ordinary Flareon into the scarce one.
- The Delta Species ones. 1 Flareon card carries the Delta Species treatment, printed deliberately short — if the word Delta Species sits before Flareon on your card, that is the first thing to tell us.
- Most Flareon cards are Rare — 8 of the 34.
- 5ban Graphics has illustrated Flareon more than anyone else, 4 times.
- SWSH Black Star Promos carries the most Flareon cards of any single set (4).
- Flareon has been printed under 7 card types: V, VMAX, ex (modern), Dark, Light, Delta Species.
- 3 of the 34 Flareon cards come from 1999–2000, the printings collectors ask after most.
- 21 different illustrators have drawn Flareon.
- 26 years separate the first Flareon card from the newest.
