Umbreon · 35 cards · 2001–2025

How much is a Umbreon card worth?

There are 35 English Umbreon cards, spread over 21 sets between 2001 and 2025. The first was Umbreon in Neo Discovery, 1 June 2001, drawn by Kimiya Masago in the Neo era. It has carried 6 of the game's card types over the years — V, VMAX, Tag Team, ex — and a collector will pay wildly different money for each.

What we pay is a different number. These are TCGplayer market prices, worked out from recent sales between collectors, read 2026-09-08. What a buyer pays is always less than what a collector pays, and it turns on the condition of the card in your hand — which is why you get our number on the phone, in one call, before anything is posted.

Spaced by ratio, not by dollars, so the cheap end stays readable. Tap a handle to jump to that card. 15 of the 35 have no market price on file.

What decides the number

Five things about your Umbreon, in order of how much they matter.

  1. Which printing. Umbreon spans 21 sets, from Neo Discovery in 2001 to Prismatic Evolutions in 2025, and the set symbol beside the picture is what tells one from another before anything else about the card is worth discussing.
  2. Which card type. A Umbreon V and a Umbreon VMAX are different cards that happen to share a name — Umbreon has been printed as 6 types in all, so the word beside Umbreon at the top decides which of the 35 you own.
  3. Promo stamps. 5 of the 35 Umbreon cards were promos rather than pack pulls, and a black star, a tournament stamp or a set-launch mark in the corner is what turns an otherwise ordinary Umbreon into the scarce one.
  4. The Delta Species ones. 1 Umbreon card carries the Delta Species treatment, printed deliberately short — if the word Delta Species sits before Umbreon on your card, that is the first thing to tell us.
  5. Centering. Hold your Umbreon at arm’s length and look at the border: a Umbreon with a visibly fatter margin on one side is capped on grade before condition is even discussed, and the Evolving Skies printings are the ones we see off-centre most often.
  • Most Umbreon cards are Rare Holo — 7 of the 35.
  • Mitsuhiro Arita has illustrated Umbreon more than anyone else, 5 times.
  • Evolving Skies carries the most Umbreon cards of any single set (6).
  • Umbreon has been printed under 6 card types: V, VMAX, Tag Team, ex (modern), ex (2003–07), Delta Species.
  • No Umbreon card was printed at all for 4 years, 2013 to 2017.
  • 21 different illustrators have drawn Umbreon.
  • 24 years separate the first Umbreon card from the newest.
